Dylan’s Redemption by Jennifer Ryan Review

There's a new sheriff in Fallbrook … Meet Dylan McBride.

Jessie Thompson had one hell of a week. Dylan McBride, the boy she loved, skipped town without a word. Then her drunk of a father tried to kill her, and she fled Fallbrook, vowing never to return. Eight years later, her father is dead, and Jessie reluctantly goes home—only to come face-to-face with the man who shattered her heart. A man who, for nearly a decade, believed she was dead.

Dylan accepted the position as sheriff of Fallbrook looking for a fresh start and a chance to uncover the truth about Jessie's disappearance. He knew he'd have to face a few ghosts … he just never thought one would be Jessie, all grown up, stunning … and alive. The pull between them is instant, but Dylan's heart has already mourned Jessie, and she has secrets she can never share. Can they escape the darkness of their past for a chance at a bright future together?

This book will make you laugh, cry, scream, fall in love and most importantly, thank the heavens above that your mother in law (I hope) is sane.
Jessie left town a few weeks after Dylan joined the military. But no one realized she left town, they all thought she had been murdered. 8 years later she goes back to Fallbrook, to sort out her remaining family. What she doesn't expect is to see Dylan again.
Dylan took the sheriff position, to give him a fresh start. He believed that Jessie was dead and mourned for her. When she bursts back in to town Dylan is shocked, but also realizes that he still cares for her.
But there are too many painful secrets and lies and once they have all been aired out, will they be able to move forward.
As we all know, I am a huge Jennifer Ryan fan and I have to say that Dylan's Redemption is her most moving, compelling and produced so many tears from me that I had to read it again and again!
I would also caution that this book is for mature audiences, as it touches on many adult themes. I also urge you to have a large box of tissues, because you are going to use every one.
Dylan's Redemption is a beautiful romance, so I give it 10 out of 10.
