The
Cowboy and The Angel
Rodeo
#2
By: T.J. Kline
Releasing August 5th, 2014
Avon Impulse
From our
NaNoWriMo author T. J. Kline comes the stunning follow up to RODEO QUEEN. When
a sexy cowboy falls for a not-so-angelic reporter, secrets and sparks abound.
Reporter Angela McCallister needs the scoop of her career in order to save her father from his bad decisions that have depleted their savings. When the chance to spend a week at the Findley Brothers ranch arises, she sees a chance to get a behind-the-scenes scoop on rodeo. That certainly doesn’t include kissing the devastatingly handsome and charming cowboy, Derek Chandler, who insists on calling her angel.
Derek has a rodeo to run and a chip on his shoulder. He has no time for the fiery woman who is clearly hiding something. But for some reason he can’t keep his hands off of her. Their connection is instant and explosive but Angela’s secrets could threaten his family and Derek needs to prove that he’s not the irresponsible kid brother anymore.
When the rodeo dust has settled, will the Cowboy and his Angel allow themselves to give in to the attraction that threatens to consume them both?

Wow! What a story! I couldn't put it
down (even if it was 3am)! This book had me griped from the get go.
I normally don't like abrasive,
bitchy leading ladies, but you quickly learn that the ice queen personality
Angela portraits is a facade and beneath is a broken child. Derek on the other
hand is still trying to prove himself to the family, still trying to prove that
he won’t be taken in by a pretty face. So he is tough on Angela and takes her
at face value, but all it takes is one little crack and Derek realizes his
mistake. I am going to leave it there as I don't want to spoil the story.
What I will say is that the
characters are fantastic! Sidney is by far my favorite (her story is Rodeo
Queen), her understanding nature and quick wit had me chuckling. The writing is
very smooth, no choppiness to it at all. As I said before, within the first
chapter I was gripped to the story, it made he laugh cry and say a few choice
words at points (you'll know them when you get to them!J)
I give The Cowboy and The Angel 9 out
of 10. It is a sweet, captivating rough and tumble romance that leaves you
gasping for more
