Sometimes
the biggest risk is playing it safe…
Gen Richards is tired of living down
to her family’s expectation of the helpless blind girl. Resurrecting her
high-school bucket list that begins with “kiss a total stranger” seems just the
thing until she finds herself in a panty-melting lip lock with her big
brother’s best friend.
Chance Anderson thrives on
adrenaline, but Genny’s the one risk he’s not willing to take. His recklessness
a decade ago landed her in the hospital and ejected him from her life. He’s bad
for her and everyone knows it—especially her big brother.
Chance reluctantly helps Gen
complete her bucket list in order to keep her out of trouble. Running through a
freezing fountain, playing Spin the Bottle while fending off a mad horde of
stinging insects, and skinny dipping with homicidal attack swans don’t hold a
candle to the real danger: falling for the one person he can never have.
I
can honestly say I have never read a book like this before! It was amazing! Let
me tell you about it.
Gen
is at a crossroad in her life! When a co-worker dies suddenly in a freak
accident, Gen is determined to complete the bucket list that she wrote when she
was 15! Number one on the list was to kiss a stranger, which might seem like an
easy thing to do, but Gen is blind, and when she finally get the nerve to
complete challenge number 1, she realizes that the man she kissed it not a
stranger, but the man from her past that hurt her more than anyone in the
world…Chance Anderson.
Chance
has loved Genevieve Elizabeth Richards (Genny) since he was a teenager. Her was
not only one of her protectors, but her brothers best friend, until one night a
bad decision nearly cost her, her life and led him into 10 years of hell.
Now
out of some form repentance, Chance is helping her with her bucket list; until
her family stops them. Now Gen has to decide if she is going to allow her
family to continue to control her life or she is going to fight for what she
wants.
This
book truly blew my socks off, I love how Chance showed his love and dedication
all throughout the 10 years that Chance stayed away from Genny! I also love the
way that he is still her protector, even when she chooses something he doesn’t
think is safe. To say that I am truly in love with this book might be an
understatement! I thought that it was just another little sister and brother's
best friend book! But it is so far from it!
So
let’s get to the basics of the book shall we! The writing and plot were
amazing! The only thing it was lacking was the continuation of this book until
they die!!! That right, I could read about Chance and Genny forever!
I
give Chance of a Lifetime a very well deserved 10 out of 10!
