Sketch by Laramire Briscoe Review

My name is Devin, but everybody calls me Sketch. I opened my own tattoo shop two years ago, and I’ve finally gotten to the point where I’m going to be able to give my wife everything she’s ever wanted. I’m going to be able to take time off and spend a day a week with her. In fact, tonight, I stopped and grabbed some wine, got her flowers, and those chocolates she likes.
What I wasn’t prepared for was to be met at the front door by her carrying her sh*t out.

She loves me, but she’s not in love with me anymore. What kind of bulls*it excuse is that? I’ve left her alone too often, I’ve been completely focused on one goal, and apparently she’s sick of waiting.

So here I stand. Half the man I was, p*ssed as f*ck, because while I was busy making a better life for us, she was under the impression I was leaving her lonely. I know one day she’ll see what I’ve been doing has been for us, and when that day comes… She can damn well come crawling back to me.

How would you feel if your wife just walked out and left you? With no warning? Well that is what happened to Devin (aka Sketch), He arrived home just in time to find Nina leaving him, he knew things were strained between them, but he just didn't realize how much. But now she is gone, he never understood why and even though he was working through the pain and anger by working out, it just didn't work.
Now Nina was back asking about the divorce papers and Sketch begins to realize that there was more to Nina walking out than her being selfish! There is still love there, but can they work through their past and their anger? And can they also overcome one huge hurdle…her father.
This book was SUCH a surprise. Firstly it is predominantly written from the male perspective, which to me was SUCH a refreshing in change. Now don't get me wrong,  most books nowadays has both characters perspective but, even I get tired of listening to the women side! I understand her side, but the male side is such a mystery.
So let's get to the nitty gritty shall we; The writing was smooth, the plot inspired and the characters were so easy to fall in love with, and fall in love with them I did! From Sketch's ability to realize his own faults (eventually) to Nina learning how to grow as a person and both of their mission to give their marriage another try, it was the ultimate love story to me.
So with all that being said, I give Sketch 5 stars!
