The rules of (fake) engagement . . .
Leah Martin has spent her life trying to avoid temptation. But she's sick of low-fat snacks, counting calories, and her hyper-critical mom. Fortunately, her popular new bakery keeps her good and distracted. But there aren't enough éclairs in the world to distract Leah from the hotness that is Sam Cooper - or the fact that he just told her mother that they're engaged . . . which is a big, fat lie.
Sam sometime speaks before he thinks. So what started out as defending Leah's date-ability to her judgmental mother soon turned into having a fiancée! Now the plan is to keep up the fake engagement, stay "just friends," and make Leah's family loathe him enough to just call the whole thing off . But Sam has an insatiable sweet tooth, not only for Leah's decadent desserts but her decadent curves. Her full lips. Her bright green eyes. Yep, things aren't going quite according to plan. Now Sam has to convince Leah that he's for real . . . before their little lie turns into one big, sweet disaster.

As a huge fan of BBW romances and being one myself, I was eager to get
my hands on Size Matter, as I had heard SO many amazing things about the book,
by an author I had never hear about before. But man! But the recommendations
where nothing compared to the actual book!
The story is about Leah Martin; a baker and a women with a mother from
hell! Not that her mother was evil or anything, but her constant attacks on her
daughter had left Leah with no self-esteem at all! Even when she goes to the
Rusty Bucket bar with her best friend Valerie, the only man she is interested
in turns her down, she assumes it's because of her weight, and she shut down
(oh I hear you!), but when he keeps coming back to trying to explain, Leah
doesn't know what to make of it.
Sam Cooper was a great guy, but who was suffering from the worst case
of foot in mouth imaginable! Seriously, everything the guy says comes out
wrong! But that doesn't stop him from pretending to be a fake fiancé for Leah
when she needed it...even if she doesn't think she does.
So both Leah and Sam enter into an unfriendly and fake relationship,
until that very fine line between love and hate crops up, to make the fake into
a reality, and hate into passion! That is until Sam puts his giant foot into it
again.
Wow what a book! I seriously loved it! I can honestly say that I have
become a Alison Bliss fan! I'm a big lover of BBW romances (seen as I am one myself), and I am extremely
critical of them, as people will write about a size 10 women and claim it's a
bbw story ridiculous I know) but his
story was nowhere like this and I 100% related to Leah, and I think like most
of us, it was also putting our lives down on paper, especially when it came to the
self-deprecating humor, Leah truly was an awesome answer relate able character.
The writing and plot were fresh and I didn't find any of it lacking!
Size Matters is truly one of the best BBW romances I have read in a long while.
I give Size Matters 5 stars
Alison Bliss grew up
in Small Town, Texas, but currently resides in the Midwest with her husband and
two sons. With so much testosterone in her home, it's no wonder she writes
"girl books." She believes the best way to know if someone is your
soul mate is by canoeing with them because if you both make it back alive, it's
obviously meant to be. Alison pens the type of books she loves to read most:
fun, steamy love stories with heart, heat, laughter, and usually a cowboy or
two. As she calls it, "Romance...with a sense of humor."
Thank you for the amazing review!
