On my fourteenth birthday, I was promised to a very wealthy man… A domineering man. A powerful man. On that day, the first of two transactions were made with my very unloving parents. I became his possession. Something to own. Something to keep. An object intended only for his desire, his pleasure, and his … indulgence. Although promised to this man, I at least remained safe … untouched … pure. I was to be his and his alone. On my eighteenth birthday, the second transaction took place. I escaped… But he came for me. Now, I’m his. He owns my body and my soul. And, as if all of that wasn’t enough, he wants to own my heart too. I’m trying to resist him—trying to fight that irresistible monster inside of him. But, as with everything else in my life, nothing is ever that easy. Warning: Contains graphic scenes with sexual assault content. Please proceed with caution.

Wow! As I write this review, my brain is still spinning, frantically trying to get my head around this book! I'm not normally into mind control, but it's a Jaimie Robert's book, so I knew it was going to be good.

Possession is a story about Evelyn, whom at the age of 15, was purchased from her parents by Drake, her savior and tormentor. But she wasn't truly going to be his until she was 18, but that doesn't stop Drake from exerting his authority over her.

But not everything is as it seems, those who are there to protect her are trying to hurt her. Drake has turned from a controlling arse to a monster, and Evelyn's attempt to break free, could cost her her life!

This book blew my mind and I was addicted from the first page, and though I hate flashbacks, they fit perfectly with the story.

The characters are equally endearing and vile! And you can honestly say the only good character in this whole book is Evelyn, and despite only being 18, is mature for her age. Drake is a tougher character though, you want to hate him, you really do! But you can't! And towards the end you even have sympathy for him.

This book truly tied me in knots, that I honestly think will take me a while to get over! With that being said, I could only give Possession one score...5 stars!
